A fruit juice concentrate machine is a machine designed specifically for concentrating liquid foods. It’s widely used in the fruit processing industry, particularly for concentrating juices from fruits like apples, oranges, grapes, pineapples, and peaches. By removing a significant amount of water from the juice, it not only reduces packaging, storage, and transportation costs, but also effectively improves the juice’s stability and shelf life.
The primary purpose of juice concentrate is to reduce its water content. Raw juice typically contains over 85% water. This water content not only increases volume and weight but also fosters microbial growth, limiting the shelf life of the juice. Concentration partially evaporates the water content, making the juice thicker and increasing its sugar content while significantly reducing the product’s volume and weight.
Apple Juice Concentrate Machine Working Principle:
The core working mechanism of a fruit juice concentrate machine is to utilize the principle of evaporation, converting the water in the juice into steam through heating, thereby achieving concentration. Its structure primarily includes a heater, evaporation chamber, central downcomer, condenser, and drainage system.
The specific principles are as follows:
- Juice is piped into the heating tubes, where the heaters heat the juice.
- Water is rapidly vaporized in the heating zone, forming lightweight steam, while the remaining liquid has a lower specific gravity.
- The unheated juice in the central downcomer has a relatively high specific gravity. Due to gravity and heat transfer differences, the juice naturally circulates between the heating tubes and downcomers.
- The steam is separated from the liquid in the separator, and the pure water vapor is directed to the condensation system to be converted into condensed water. The remaining juice is concentrated due to the reduced water content.
- The steam used in the heating process condenses into water after releasing its latent heat and is discharged from the bottom of the apple juice concentrate machine.
Fruit Juice Concentrate Machine Features:
- Continuous and Highly Automated: The machine is equipped with automatic temperature control, liquid level control, and vacuum control systems, enabling continuous feeding and discharging, making it suitable for large-scale industrial production.
- Nutrient Preservation and Minimized Loss: Juice evaporates at low temperatures under vacuum, effectively minimizing the loss of vitamins and other nutrients while preserving the original color, flavor, and aroma.
- Safe Materials, Compliant with Food Standards: All parts that come into contact with the juice are made of food-grade stainless steel, which is corrosion-resistant and easy to clean, complying with HACCP and GMP food production standards.
Fruit Juice Concentrate Machine Applications:
Juice concentrators are widely used in juice beverage factories, and are suitable for a variety of fruit and vegetable ingredients, including but not limited to:
- Apple juice, pear juice, grape juice.
- Mango pulp, guava juice, passion fruit juice.
- Tomato juice, pineapple juice, citrus juice, etc.
